Martlet Capital Advisors is an independent financial intermediary firm headquartered in Madrid, Spain and focused on the investment needs of institutional investors primarily in Iberia, Latin America and Switzerland.
We provide institutional-quality distribution for asset managers with strongly differentiated strategies across different disciplines to access institutional and professional investors.
Taking a long term, disciplined approach to capital raising, our remit is to identify early on, those potential qualified investors whose needs and requirements match the opportunity set and capabilities offered by our clients.
We aim to raise capital alongside our partners, diligently and with full transparency, in all market conditions.
Management aims to deliver a responsive, accountable and client focused service, committing to stay focused, independent and optimal for a very limited number of managers at any one time.
MANAGING PARTNER
Nicholas Burdett, CFA, CAIA
Nicholas founded the firm as an external distribution partner to a successful high conviction London-based global quality growth equity manager and a global real estate management house.
Prior to this, he was head of products & research at a leading Madrid-based European & Latin-American placement agent, where he successfully onboarded premier asset managers, helped coordinate and structure the sales efforts globally with market and products intelligence and represented managers in Spain & Switzerland.
Nick received an MA in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford, and a Master in Finance degree from the London Business School.
He is a CFA and CAIA Charterholder as well as a former Member of the Society of Technical Analysts (UK). Nick was also elected to the CFA Society Spain, Alternative Investments Committee in 2025. He is fluent in Spanish, French, English and conversational in German.

we work closely with clients, with flexibility and permanent availability. The diligence with which feedback is given both in terms of frequency and in the quality of the reporting is a strong differentiator.
CONSISTENCY:
a disciplined approach to reaching out to prospects and clients. The ability to cross-sell product to investors allows following up with them on a regular basis. This business is a marathon and not a sprint.
TRANSPARENCY:
proactively disclosing any potential conflicts of interest between clients. Limiting partnerships to a small group of a carefully selected to deliver higher standards of service and avoid conflicts of interests. Open disclosure of partnerships.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
we treat distribution as a responsibility, not a transaction. We are accountable to our partners for how strategies are positioned, represented and supported over time, and we measure ourselves by the quality and durability of those outcomes.
INTEGRITY:
all actions are performed subject to objectivity, independence of opinion and confidentiality. No existence of in-house products. The goal is not one-off, transactional business but rather a long-term successful relationship based on trust and hard work.
